Privacy Policy for Your Journal

Last updated: 12 September 2026

Your Journal is a diary app that runs entirely on your device. It has no servers, no user accounts, and no analytics. This policy explains what that means in practice.

Information we collect

None. The developer of Your Journal does not collect, receive, store, or have access to any information about you or anything you write. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no way for your entries to reach the developer.

Information the app stores on your device

The app saves the following in its private storage area on your phone:

This data lives in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. It is removed when you uninstall the app.

When data leaves your device

There are only two ways, and you control both:

Sharing and selling

We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer your information to anyone, because we never receive it in the first place. There are no advertisements, no third-party analytics, no tracking technologies, and no in-app purchases.

Permissions the app requests

Children's privacy

Your Journal is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Your rights and control over your data

Because all data stays on your device, you are in full control of it. You can edit or delete any entry in the app, export a copy at any time, or remove everything by uninstalling the app. There is no server-side copy for us to delete, and no request to make, because we hold nothing.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. If a future version of the app ever collects data, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
